Attorney J. Chris Bristow joined the Law Firm of Critton, Luttier & Coleman in 2013. He is a trial lawyer who practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, insurance bad faith litigation, legal malpractice, business litigation, and complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in the Tampa and West Palm Beach offices of one of the largest defense firms in Florida, which gives him a unique advantage in handling all types of cases throughout the state.
Mr. Bristow represents individuals, businesses, and professionals in all types of disputes. Since joining Critton, Luttier & Coleman he has tried personal injury and commercial litigation cases to verdict. Mr. Bristow, along with Robert D. Critton, Jr., successfully defended a prestigious law firm in a high-stakes 160-million-dollar legal malpractice lawsuit, which resulted in a complete dismissal with prejudice. In addition, Mr. Bristow has helped clients obtain multimillion-dollar settlements of first party insurance claims, including claims where the insurance policies were rescinded ab initio for material misrepresentations.
Mr. Bristow earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson College of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Sciences from the University of Florida. While at Stetson, Bristow was an assistant editor of the Stetson Law Review. Bristow was also a member of Phi Delta Phi legal honors fraternity as well as a Stetson Ambassador. In addition, Bristow studied abroad in Granada, Spain.
Mr. Bristow is licensed to practice law in all Florida state courts as well as the Northern District of Florida, Middle District of Florida, and Southern District of Florida.
